ASME U and UM
Alloy Products Corporation holds certifications proving our quality control system in accordance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) Section VIII.
About the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Certification Program
The ASME BPVC Certification Program conforms to the rules governing the design, fabrication, assembly, and inspection of boiler and pressure vessel components during construction. In 1916, shortly after the first publication of the “Rules for the Construction of Stationary Boilers and for Allowable Working Pressures” (known today as the ASME BPVC), ASME began offering certification to companies in the pressure equipment industry to certify their quality control systems comply. Products manufactured by ASME BPVC Certificate Holders are certified and stamped with the Certification Mark in accordance with the applicable ASME BPVC Section.
ISO 9001:2015
The ISO 9000 family addresses various aspects of quality management and contains some of ISO’s best known standards. The standards provide guidance and tools for companies and organizations who want to ensure that their products and services consistently meet customer’s requirements, and that quality is consistently improved.
ISO 9001:2015 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is the only standard in the family that can be certified to. It can be used by any organization, large or small, regardless of its field of activity. In fact, there are over one million companies and organizations in over 170 countries certified to ISO 9001.
This standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement. Using ISO 9001:2015 helps ensure that customers get consistent, good quality products and services.
CE Certification
CE marking is a certification mark that indicates conformity with health, safety, and environmental protection standards for products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA). The CE marking is also found on products sold outside the EEA that are manufactured in, or designed to be sold in, the EEA. This makes the CE marking recognizable worldwide even to people who are not familiar with the European Economic Area. In that sense, it is similar to the FCC Declaration of Conformity used on certain electronic devices sold in the United States.
National Board
The National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors was created in 1919 to promote greater safety to life and property through uniformity in the construction, installation, repair, maintenance, and inspection of Pressure Vessels and equipment.
Membership and Certification through the National Board includes the following features:
- Offering comprehensive training programs in the form of continuing education for both inspectors and pressure equipment professionals.
- Enabling a qualified inspection process by commissioning inspectors through a comprehensive examination administered by the National Board.
- Setting worldwide industry standards for pressure relief devices and other appurtenances through operation of an international pressure relief testing laboratory.
- Providing a repository of Manufacturers’ Data Reports through a registration process.
- Accrediting qualified repair and alteration companies, inservice Authorized Inspection Agencies, and owner-user inspection organizations.
- Investigating pressure equipment accidents and issues involving code compliance.
- Developing installation, inspection, repair, and alteration standards (National Board Inspection Code)
